The ask
After a repositioning, Budget Thuis needed a new sonic identity. The brand operates in several markets with three labels, Budget Energie, Budget Mobiel and Budget-alles-in-1. Our challenge was to create a cohesive sonic identity with subtle differences for each label.
The brand
Budget Thuis is a brand with a mission to make complex services easy and approachable. They challenge the market and common beliefs, opening the eyes of the consumer. The core personality is “impulsgever” translating to initiator or catalyst, a brand that accelerates change.
Strategy
The idea of making consumers aware, and putting change in motion, lead to the strategic direction “the sound of awakening”. It opens up a sonic world with warm and soft tones and a pulsating rhythm. Budget Thuis is the friendly, human brand that sets change in motion.
The result
Based on the strategic direction, we developed a sonic logo that gently wakes you up, literally making you aware of the brand. To amplify the effect, the sound logo keeps repeating throughout the brand tracks. This doesn’t only match with the core concept, but it also makes the sound logo heard 5 times more per commercial than usual.
